Police Rescue Four Kidnap Victims in Oyo

Date:

Officers of the Oyo State Police Command have rescued four passengers who were abducted by suspected kidnappers along the Igbeti–Kishi Road.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday in Ibadan.

According to him, the victims were kidnapped in the early hours of March 5, 2026, along the Igbeti–Kishi axis before security operatives launched a rescue operation.

Ayanlade said the victims were rescued unhurt following what he described as a swift and coordinated response by security personnel.

He added that the rescued passengers have since been reunited with their families.

The police spokesman also assured residents that efforts are ongoing to track down the kidnappers and ensure they are arrested and prosecuted.

He urged members of the public to remain vigilant and continue to cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information that could help combat crime in the state.
