APC Determined to Reclaim Oyo in 2027 — Adeyemo

Date:

A former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Moses Alake Adeyemo, has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) is determined to reclaim the state in the 2027 general elections.

Adeyemo, who served alongside the late former governor Abiola Ajimobi between 2011 and 2019, made the declaration on Friday during his inauguration as chairman of the party in the state.

He and 35 other party officials were elected on Tuesday during the party’s congress held at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Ibadan.

Speaking after his inauguration, Adeyemo said members of the party had also resolved to work toward the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He described his emergence as chairman as another call to service and pledged that the new leadership would strengthen the party ahead of future elections.

Adeyemo also assured members that the current atmosphere of unity and cooperation within the party would be maintained before, during and after the next APC primary elections.

“It is a new dawn in Oyo APC and I am optimistic that the current atmosphere of peace and togetherness will be sustained before, during and after the next party primaries as we keep our eyes on the goals of securing 90 per cent votes for President Bola Tinubu and reclaiming Agodi Government House in 2027,” he said.
