CBN Intensifies Liquidity Control, Withdraws N2.8tn From Banks

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused former presidential candidate Peter Obi of focusing on securing party tickets rather than building lasting political structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka alleged that Obi is “perpetually shopping” for political platforms where he can emerge as a candidate without contesting, insisting he has no interest in building a party.

Morka also dismissed recent opposition engagements, including the Ibadan summit, arguing they do not reflect any broad consensus and accusing opposition figures of concentrating more on criticising the APC than discussing plans for governance.

According to him, opposition coalitions lack a clear agenda for Nigeria, claiming their political meetings have largely revolved around attacks on the ruling party instead of offering policy alternatives.

He maintained that the APC remains focused on governance and urged opposition actors to prioritise substantive national issues and policy discussions as the 2027 elections approach.
