Nottingham Forest head coach Vitor Pereira has praised striker Taiwo Awoniyi following his standout performance in the club’s 3–1 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in a Premier League clash.
The Nigerian forward Taiwo Awoniyi scored twice in the match and also played a key role in winning a penalty that was converted by Igor Jesus, marking a memorable 100th appearance for Nottingham Forest.
Pereira described Awoniyi as a constant threat to defenders, praising his physical presence and attacking intelligence.
“He brings everything. Taiwo Awoniyi is a danger player. He is not on the list in the Europa League, but we know he will push the defensive line of the opponents,” Pereira was quoted as saying.
Awoniyi now has four league goals and one assist in 14 appearances this season as Forest continue their push across competitions.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest will turn their attention to continental action as they face Aston Villa in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League semi-final tie on Thursday.
