In fulfilment of his pledge to beautiful Iwo, Oluwo of Iwoland, HIM Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has commenced painting of road sides houses in the ancient town.
Landlords and tenants staying at houses beside the road could not hold their joy as they expressed gratitudes to Oba Akanbi for the gesture.
Oluwo hinted the idea was to adorn the town, establish uniformity and encourage cleaningness.
Oba Akanbi appealed to Iwo sons and daughters in diaspora to promote the idea, saying it will be an example for other cities in Nigeria and Africa by extension.
He tasked residents of Iwo to embrace innovations capable of repositioning our town for positive reference.
