The Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Wednesday presented MANCAP certificates to KAM Holding Limited amidst applause and commendations for its consistency in the growth of the nation’s economy.

The MANCAP, which stands for Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme, is issued for products manufactured in Nigeria before being introduced to the market.

The State Coordinator SON, Kwara Field Office, Mr. Ayeni Oyebola, appreciated KAM Industries for doing the needful that earned the company the approval, stressing that, “We must also appreciate the KAM technical character to stay in the industry. SON is happy to relate with you. On behalf of the DG/CEO of SON, I want to congratulate you.”

Speaking on behalf of the Group Managing Director, Dr. Yusuf Kamoru (MON), the Group Executive Director (Operations & Technical Services), Mr. S.K Moitra, thanked SON team, while giving the rundown of the strict procedure KAM went through to earn the MANCAP certificates.

According to him, “We had to make sure best equipment are imported from Spain, Germany, China, India and other necessary countries so as to comply with international best practices. KAM is also customer-focused, as substandard products can be harmful. When manufacturers play with products, by rolling out substandard products, they are indirectly playing with the lives of customers.”

Mr. Moitra also thank the GMD, Dr. Yusuf as the brain behind the company, who started the company from the scratch with unwavering focus to obtain the best.

ROYAL NEWS reports that SON presented six MANCAP certificates for products under three (3) KAM Holding companies, which are: KAM Industries Nigeria Limited, KAM Steel Integrated Company Limited and DIMKIT Global Concept Limited.

Speaking on the feat, Engr. Afolabi Ayodele, the Senior Business Manager, revealed that usually, most companies struggle to get a single MANCAP certificate, but KAM Holdings achieved six certificates at once.

In her remark, the KAM Group Head (Regulatory & External Relations), Mrs. Nwanne Okafor, also thanked the SON team, adding that she believes Nigeria can still reclaim its position as the giant of Africa by getting rid of substandard products and adhering to best practices for the safety of consumers.

“The job is not over, KAM will continue to press towards higher quality,” she noted.
