Atletico Madrid have lodged an official complaint with UEFA after their players were left without hot water at the Emirates Stadium following their final training session ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Arsenal.
According to Marca, the LaLiga side trained in rainy conditions in London but were unable to take showers before leaving the stadium due to the issue.
Reports indicate that Diego Simeone’s squad informed Arsenal’s staff about the problem shortly after arriving around 5:30 p.m., but the situation remained unresolved until the end of the session.
Sources close to the Spanish club described the development as “unacceptable,” expressing surprise that such an issue could occur in a modern facility like the Emirates Stadium, particularly during a major UEFA competition.
In response, Atletico Madrid have filed a formal protest to UEFA, requesting that the incident be investigated and proper standards be enforced for all participating clubs.
