Bandits Raid Katsina Community, Steal Valuables

Date:

Residents of Jeri community in Kusada Local Government Area of Katsina State have been left shaken after bandits carried out a prolonged house-to-house raid, looting valuables worth millions of naira.

The incident, which occurred on Friday, was disclosed by security analyst Bakatsine in a post on X.

According to the report, the attackers operated in the community for nearly two hours, moving from one residence to another without interruption.

“Bandits carried out a house-to-house raid in Jeri community, Kusada LGA of Katsina State, operating for nearly two hours,” the analyst stated.

During the raid, the assailants reportedly made away with mobile phones, cash and livestock belonging to residents.

Despite the scale of the attack, no fatalities or abductions were reported.

The incident has, however, heightened concerns about security in the area, particularly amid recent efforts to stabilise parts of Katsina State.

Observers note that the attack comes weeks after a reported peace deal between authorities and bandits in Kankia Local Government Area, raising questions about its effectiveness.
