“Bandits carried out a house-to-house raid in Jeri community, Kusada LGA of Katsina State, operating for nearly two hours,” the analyst stated.
During the raid, the assailants reportedly made away with mobile phones, cash and livestock belonging to residents.
Despite the scale of the attack, no fatalities or abductions were reported.
The incident has, however, heightened concerns about security in the area, particularly amid recent efforts to stabilise parts of Katsina State.
Observers note that the attack comes weeks after a reported peace deal between authorities and bandits in Kankia Local Government Area, raising questions about its effectiveness.
