Caterefe-I Lost My Father to Men in Military Uniform

Date:

Nigerian streamer and skitmaker Caterefe has recounted how his father, a police officer, was allegedly killed by armed robbers wearing military camouflage during a robbery incident in Ogun State many years ago.

He said his father had closed from duty and was travelling home in a police van when they encountered a highway robbery operation. Believing the men in military camouflage were security personnel, he and his colleagues reportedly alighted to assess the situation.

According to Caterefe, the robbers opened fire after spotting them in police uniform. His father was among those shot and killed during the attack.

He disclosed that the trauma was deepened by the fact that footage of his father’s lifeless body was recorded and later shared online, and the clip is still available on YouTube.

Speaking on The Honest Bunch Podcast, Caterefe said the painful experience has not deterred him, adding that despite enduring significant loss and pain, he remains determined to continue pursuing his goals.
