Chimamanda Adichie Loses One of Her Twin Sons

Renowned Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and her husband, Ivara Esege, have lost one of their twin sons, Nkanu Nnamdi.

The child reportedly died on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, after a brief illness, according to The Guardian.

In a statement issued by the family, the loss was described as devastating, with an appeal to the public and the media to respect their privacy during the period of mourning.

The family also requested prayers and understanding, noting that they would not be making any further
