City Boy Movement Distributes 5,000 Food Boxes to Muslims, Christians in Cross River

Date:

The City Boy Movement, a youth-focused support group backing the re-election of Bola Tinubu in 2027, has distributed over 5,000 boxes of food items to Muslim and Christian communities in Cross River State.

The outreach took place on Friday in Calabar, where beneficiaries received essential food supplies as part of efforts to support Muslims celebrating Eid al-Fitr and Christians preparing for Easter.

Speaking during the event, the group’s state coordinator, Okon Eyo-Ita, said the initiative was aimed at providing relief to families during the festive season and strengthening community solidarity across religious lines.

“This initiative is designed to support the Muslim community as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr and the Christian community as they prepare for Easter celebration,” he said.

Eyo-Ita described the movement as more than a political organisation, noting that it serves as a platform for youth mobilisation, civic responsibility and grassroots engagement in support of national development.

He added that the Calabar outreach marks the beginning of broader activities intended to position the group as a unifying force and a catalyst for positive social impact.

One of the beneficiaries, Ekaete Bassey, expressed appreciation on behalf of recipients, describing the support as timely and helpful to families during the festive period.

“We are truly thankful for the City Boy Movement’s generosity and thoughtfulness. This timely support means a lot to families during this period,” she said.
