Commissioner Promises To Restructure Ministry Of Solid Minerals Devt

The newly appointed Commissioner
for Solid Minerals Development, Dr Alabi Afeez Abolore has reiterated his commitment to restructuring the Ministry and solicited for the commitment and proactiveness of the staff in the discharge of their duties.

The Commissioner stated this today at the Ministry’s conference hall, where he emphasised that with the professionals on ground, he was convinced of their capabilities to drive the core values of the Ministry.

Dr Abolore thanked the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mall. AbdulRazaq AbdulRaman for the opportunity given tohim to be part of the State’s Executive Council.

According to him, “solid minerals is where our future lies and it occupies the fourth place in the key prioties areas of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. Therefore, it should be our priority as a Ministry to exploit the resources for the economic growth and prosperity of our dear State of Harmony”.

Abolore called on the staff of the Ministry to support him fully “in order to jointly
achieve our mandate as a Ministry”, he said.

Earlier in his remarks, the newly deployed Permanent Secretary for the Ministry, Tpl. Isiak Yinka Olokooba appreciated the staff for the warm welcome and promised his unflinching support to move the Ministry forward.

He therefore urged the staff to be dedicated to duties and work together in tackling issues that arise.

Also speaking on behalf of the staff of the Ministry, the Head of the Geological Services department, Mr. Kunle Adimula assured the Commissioner of their absolute loyalty and support to ensure his success in office.
