Defence Minister restates loyalty to APC leadership, Buhari’s govt

The Minister of Defence Maj Gen Bashir Salihi Magashi (rtd) has fulfilled the mandatory registration and revalidation of his membership of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Magashi registered at the Gidan Galadima primary School Polling unit, Galandachi Ward in Gwale Local Government area of Kano State.

While seizing the opportunity provided by the on- going registration and revalidation exercise in the country, Magashi thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and the leadership of APC at all levels for entrenching internal democratic culture and pledged his continued loyalty and respect for the Party supremacy at all times.

ROYAL NEWS gathered that the Minister was received on arrival at his Polling unit by the APC Chairman Gwale Local Government, Umar Yusuf Umar and the Council Chairman, Khalid Ishaq amidst huge turn out of the party loyalists as well as elders and Community leaders in the area who were on ground in their numbers to honour one of their own highly respected elder Stateman and prominent Politician.

The Minister who took his time and turn to follow due registration processes and procedures as established by the National leadership of APC to guarantee peaceful and successful conduct of the exercise described it as well arranged and orderly.

He said with this exercise APC is deepening Political participation of the electorate and urged those who are yet to register to do so within the stipulated time frame for the exercise.

The Defence Minister who expressed satisfaction with the exercise said it provides a strategic platform for the Party to consolidate and rejig its winning machineries and mechanism ahead of the future elections, since politics is a game of number.
