The much-anticipated 2nd edition of the Emir of Ilorin Football Tournament is set to kick off on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Queen School, Ilorin.
Organized by the Ilorin Emirate Football Council under the leadership of Alhaji AbdulRazaq Owolabi Wopa, the tournament commemorates the Emir of Ilorin’s coronation anniversary.
Alhaji Wopa expressed excitement about the event, encouraging football lovers to come out in large numbers to enjoy the month-long competition, which promises to showcase impressive soccer talent.
He also assured that proper security measures will be in place throughout the championship.
The tournament will culminate on November 11, 2024, in celebration of the 29th coronation anniversary of Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari CFR, the 11th Emir of Ilorin.
