Emir of Ilorin rejoices with new IEDPU Excos

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has congratulated the newly elected members of the national executive council of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) on their victory at the poll.

This is contained in a goodwill message issued by the Emir’s spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, on Wednesday.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari also rejoiced with the new National President, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, a retired Assistant Comptroller-General of Immigration for the great confidence reposed in him to lead the socio-cultural organisation of the people of Ilorin Emirate origin home and abroad.

The Emir however thanked the immediate national president, Alhaji Uthman Aliyu Otta, for the sacrifices and resilience demonstrated throughout his tenure in office which has further uplifted the status of IEDPU at all levels.

He also expressed joy over the peaceful hosting of the 58th annual conference and thanked all the donors for their wonderful contributions towards the development of Ilorin Emirate even as he urged them not to relent in their selfless services to humanity in general.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari therefore appealed to the newly elected executive members to rally round the new National President of IEDPU in order to achieve more for Ilorin Emirate and urged them to always champion the course of promoting peaceful co-existence, unity and harmony among indigenes of Ilorin Emirate irrespective of their political affiliations at all times.
