EPL: Former Star Criticises Liverpool Quartet After Defeat

Date:

Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has criticised four Reds players following their 2-1 defeat to Wolves on Tuesday, saying the team looks weaker in key positions compared to last season.

Owen expressed concern over the form of Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo, suggesting that both attackers have experienced a noticeable drop in performance this campaign.

He also questioned the impact of fullbacks Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez, arguing that they have not matched the quality and influence of Liverpool’s previous options in those positions.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, Owen stated that Liverpool appear “much weaker” in four areas and raised doubts over whether the decline is due to squad transition or individual performance dips.

He concluded that the perceived weaknesses in those positions could affect the team’s overall strength as the season progresses.
