Faith Ekwebenam Wins Miss International Nigeria 2025

Date:

Faith Ekwebenam, representing Anambra State, has emerged as the winner of Miss International Nigeria 2025.

The grand finale, held on Sunday, saw Ekwebenam outshine other contestants to clinch the national crown. She will now represent Nigeria at the 63rd Miss International pageant scheduled for 27 November 2025 at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan.

Miss Lagos was named first runner-up, with Miss Bauchi, Miss Edo, Miss Cross River, and Miss Nasarawa placing second to fifth runners-up.

Ekwebenam’s victory continues Nigeria’s consistent participation at Miss International, following in the footsteps of Perpetual Ukadike, who represented the country at the 2024 edition. The global contest, one of the world’s “Big Four” beauty competitions, celebrates not only beauty and poise but also cultural exchange and advocacy.

In a remarkable twist, Anambra State secured another crown the same weekend. Onyinyechi Basil was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2025 in a separate contest in Lagos. Basil triumphed after a tense finale that saw Miss Lagos, Damilola Bolarinde, finish as first runner-up. Miss Bayelsa and Miss Ogun finished as second and third runners-up.

The double victory means Anambra now holds both of Nigeria’s leading international beauty titles — Miss International Nigeria and Miss Universe Nigeria — a first in the country’s pageant history.

With Ekwebenam and Basil preparing for international competitions later this year, pageant fans say all eyes will be on Nigeria’s performance at Miss International in Tokyo and Miss Universe later in the year.
