Foundation donates 10 sets of empowerment tools to UNILORIN SUG

The Threshold of Hope Foundation on Wednesday donated 10 sets of sewing machines to the Student Union Government,  (SUG) of the University of Ilorin ahead of its empowerment and entrepreneurship summit scheduled to hold on Saturday 12th August 2023.

 

ROYAL NEWS reports that the donation of the items took place at the foundation’s Secretariat along GRA, Ilorin .

 

The Chairperson of the foundation, Dr. Iyadunni Bolanle Yusuf,  disclosed that as an alumni of the better by far varsity, she decided to support younger minds in line with the mandates of the organisation stressing that, “Skill acquisition and youths empowerment is the bedrock of fight against joblessness. ”

 

She however pledged her continuous support for the UNILORIN SUG even as she urged them to make judicious use and distribution of the items to the people that will make endsmeans and profitable use towards enhancing their financial cum economic empowerment in the society.

 

In his remarks, the SUG President of UNILORIN,  Faji Tobiloba, thanked the donor for the gesture and assured Dr. Bolanle Yusuf that the union will do justice to the items received foundation.

 

Represented by the SUG Vice President,  Oseni Islamiyah , the president implored the foundation’s promoter not relent in her humanitarian gestures to the needies especially women and youths as well as the vulnerable as a way of complimenting government’sefforts and making life meaningful to the less privileged in the society.
