The Founder of Gbenga Power Foundation, Hon. Gbenga Oyekunle Power, has urged Nigerians to remain resolute and committed to the wills of God in periods of adversity as well as in moments of prosperity in a bid to further appreciate His supremacy.
He wished the people of Kwara state a prosperous Easter celebrations saying: “Despite the ongoing global challenge of COVID-19 pandemic, here comes another period of repentance, sober reflection and gratitude to God. It’s Easter celebration.”
In his Easter message released on Sunday, Hon. Gbenga Power noted that Nigerians should imbibe the spirit of patience, tolerance, love and tranquility which are the major tenets of the Easter celebrations as learnt from the death of Jesus on the cross at Calvary and his resurrection.
This, according to him, will enable us develop strong hope and confidence in the fact that the fight against COVID-19 global pandemic can be won with steadfastness, fervent prayers and unshaken faith in God and His commandments.
He added that the resurrection of Jesus Christ remians as evidence that God is capable of doing all things at all times irrespective of challenges facing mankind stressing that, “No battle is difficult for God to defeat.
“Let us obey constituted authorities and heed to the lockdown order imposed by the state government in order to overcome the spread of coronavirus infection in our state and beyond. Health is wealth, stay home, stay safe and endeavour to keep public and personal hygiene at all times.”
He however opinned that constant prayer for divine intervention to vanquish the pandemic, heal the sick and renew will go a long in cushioning the effects of the gravious damages caused by COVID-19 outbreak globally.
He also commended the Kwara state government for its prompt intervention and proactive measures adopted towards curtailing the spread of COVID-19 even as he urged residents to support government plans and actions in order to record the desired success in the exercise.
