REKINDLES HOPE OF KIDNEY TRANSPLANT PATIENT WITH STARTUP FUND FOR BUSINESS

Respite has come to Islamiyat Lawal following cash donation by the Gbenga Power Foundation to enable her start a business on her own. Islamiyat who hails from Agbeku village of Agunjin ward in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State was diagnosed of kidney failure couple of months ago and undergo a kidney transplant.

Although the kidney transplant was successful because she was back on her feet, it became difficult and practically impossible to return to normal life of doing things coupled with the harsh economic situation in which is not peculiar to Kwara State due to the COVID-19 pandemic.


The deteriorating health condition of Islamiyat information got to the Chairman of the Gbenga Power Foundation, Honourable Gbenga Power who extended his usual kind gesture to the girl by assisting her with reasonable amount of money to start her own business and gradually return to the normal life she was used to.

The beneficiary was advised to make judicious use of the money by investing it into a business that is less stressful and lucrative to enable her take care of herself and her family. Responding, Islamiyat Lawal who was full of appreciation said she was short of words prayed to God to continue to bless and increase the source of Honourable Gbenga Power’s wealth describing the gesture as unexpected but timely.

ENCOURAGES OTHER NGOs TO ASSIST THE GRASSROOTS

In another development, the Chairman of Gbenga power Foundation, Honourable Gbenga Oyekunle Power has enjoyed Non Governmental organisations to contribute their quota in improving the quality of life of the people especially at the grassroots.

Honourable Gbenga Power gave this advice while hosting an NGO, Change Agent Foundation International, CAFI who conferred him with the title of Patron of the NGO. He carried out his usual philanthropic duties by donating huge amounts of money to them applauded CAFI for the people orientated programs they have been embarking

upon and urged them to continue in that direction.
In a remark on behalf of CAFI, Mrs. Ibikunle Opeyemi commended the chairman of Gbenga Power Foundation for his milk of human kindness and assured him that the NGO would not rest on it oars of helping the people at the grassroots.
High point of the event was the investiture of Honourable Gbenga Power as patron of CAFI.

BOUGHT STATE OF THE ART CAMERA FOR AUTISTIC PHOTOGRAPHER

As part of his quest to give more members of the public a sense of belonging, Honourable Gbenga Oyekunle Power empowered an autistic photographer. The philanthropy bought a new digital camera for him so that he could be earning a living and do the vocation which makes him happy.


According to Honourable Gbenga Power, everybody is blessed with something special by God but the society are expected to compliment these talents by lending a helping hand and shun stigmatization.

GAVE HELPING HAND TO PERSONS LIVING WITH DISABILITIES

In continuation of the unique mode of assisting people with special needs, the Gbenga Power Foundation had over the years put smiles on the faces of many of these people.


The latest was the donation of wheelchairs to a physically challenged woman at Igbaja in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State. Honourable Gbenga Power said that he remained committed to the task of complementing the efforts of government through providing infrastructure and human capital development in Kwara State and Nigeria by extension.
