I met virtually nothing on ground at Benue Teaching Hospital— CMD

The Chief Medical Director of Benue Teaching Hospital, (BSUT) Dr Stephen Hwande, has expressed disappointment over lack of facilities in the hospital.
The CMD made this disclosure on Wednesday when he spoke in audience with committee for Health and Humanitarian Affairs led by Thomas Dugeri in Makurdi, Benue State.
He explained that soon as he reported on duty met virtually nothing on ground as essential equipments for instance MRI machine and diplopiasis and other related was not there.
He further posited that even the laboratory section was not lease out to unknown person by the immediate past Swende led administration.
In his comment, Thomas Dugeri, applauded Governor Hyacinth Alia for finding you worthy of this appointment .
Hon. Dugeri was shocked with the dilipated facilities, expressing regrets over inability of MIR machine as well as dialysis to function maximally, imploring that the former leadership WOULD be invited to come and tell us what led to the development.
The Committee Leader revealed that those connected to the affected leasing out of the laboratory section must be compelled to appear and explain their roles.
According to him, the former Chief Medical Director CMD Dr Terlumun Swende, Permanent secretary, as well as Commissioner for health are also needed to make some clarification involving the issues.
