The National President of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, has expressed profound sadness on the death of an Ilorin-based Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former Secretary to the Government of Kwara State, Alhaji Saka Abimbola Isau, which occurred on Saturday in Ilorin.
Alhaji Abdulmalik, in a statement signed by the Union’s National Publicity Secretary, Nurudeen Ibrahim, said that the death of the legal luminary, who was a schoolmate and personal friend, was not only sudden and sad but also very painful; considering the recent loss of another classmate and friend, Prince Mahe Aliyu Abdulkadir.
The statement described Lawyer Isau, who also served as the Attorney-General and Honourable Commissioner for Justice in Kwara State, as a one time member of the Union’s National Executive whose services and contributions to the development of Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State and Nigeria at large would continue to be appreciated.
The Union commiserated with the family, friends, colleagues and staff of the departed learned senior lawyer as it urged them to take solace in the numerous positive legacies he left behind as a legal giant, public servant and community leader.
The Union prayed to Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the late Lawyer and rest his gentle soul in Aljanat Fridaouz.
