
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR has expressed total commitments to complementing government’s efforts in the area of fight against insecurity among other social vices.
The Emir noted that the efforts of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq towards fighting insecurity and banditry the state cannot be over emphasized and stressed the need for traditional institution to be a strong vanguard of the actualization of the desired peace in the state.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari expressed concern over the prevailing insecurity across the country even as he commended governments at all levels for their proactiveness in ensuring that the dastardly act is seriously condoned and nipped in the board.
He stated this on Thursday at a special prayer organized in his palace. The prayer was attended by Alhaji Razaq Jiddah, Alhaji Saadudeen Salaudeen, and other top government functionaries who represented the Kwara State Government while the Commissioner of Police, CP Adekimi Ojo, was also in attendance.
Other stakeholders at the prayers session which was led by the Chief of Ilorin, Dr. Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih OON, were traditional Chiefs across Ilorin Emirate, Islamic scholars, associations and party chieftains.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari disclosed that the special prayer was organised to support government organs and security agencies in the relentless of making Kwara State and Nigeria at large peaceful destinations for residents and visitors.
During the prayer session, the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr. Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih OON, prayed for peaceful coexistence, religious and social harmony across the state and in Nigeria at large.
He committed the entire people of Kwara state and Nigeria at large into the hands of Almighty Allah for continued protection, guidance and providence.
