Kuwait Confirms Multiple U.S. Warplanes Crash, No Casualties Reported

Date:

Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence confirmed that several American warplanes crashed on Monday morning. All crew members aboard the affected aircraft were successfully rescued and transferred to hospitals, with their conditions reported as stable. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crashes.

The ministry said search and rescue operations were launched immediately after the incidents. Crews received medical attention, and joint technical measures were taken in coordination with U.S. forces, although specific details about the number of aircraft, exact locations, and the nature of their missions were not disclosed.

The crashes came amid escalating tensions in the Middle East after U.S. and Israeli airstrikes targeted Iran, killing top leaders, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran responded with waves of missile and drone attacks on U.S. military bases across the Gulf, including Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and the UAE.

In Kuwait, the Al Salem Air Base was targeted, while explosions were reported near the U.S. Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain. Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base, the largest U.S. facility in the region, and the UAE’s Al Dhafra Air Base also came under missile fire, causing panic and alarms at these installations.

Though the Gulf states hosting U.S. forces were not directly involved in the original U.S.-Israeli strikes, the attacks drew them into the escalating conflict. The situation has raised concerns about the potential for a broader regional war. Kuwaiti and U.S. authorities continue to investigate the crashes and closely monitor the unfolding crisis
