Kwara State Government has directed the immediate payment of scholarship allowance to bona fide students of the state (indigenes) at the Nigerian Law School from across educational institutions in the country.

State Commissioner for Tertiary Education Dr Alabi Afees Abolore made this known yesterday in his office, Ilorin the state capital.

He said the government will be transparent about the exercise, adding that the money will be paid directly into the accounts of the beneficiaries.

The Commissioner said that the government relies on the list it received from the Nigerian Law School and promised to follow it to the letter in the disbursement exercise.

While explaining that the gesture further demonstrates Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s passion about the students’ welfare, Dr. Abolore said the Ministry was collaborating with the state Scholarship Board to commence the disbursement immediately.

The Commissioner, meanwhile, felicitates with Miss Omotayo Dada, an indigene of Kwara State for emerging the overall best graduating student at the Nigerian Law School, saying the state is proud of her hard-earned success at that level.

He prayed God to continue to make her ongoing journey to overall success in life an ease.

“We are very proud of you all and wish that more feats come your way and the ways of fellow Kwarans in all their respective endeavors by the grace of God”.
