Kwara State Government is set to provide fresh business support to young entrepreneurs in the state to scale up their businesses, according to a statement released on Tuesday.

Run by Kwara State Social Investment Programmes (KWASSIP), the statement added that 359 business owners have been selected, having completed all the stages to qualify for the non-interest loans under Kwapreneuer 4. 0.

“The Governor will on Thursday 14th of December present cheques of varying amounts of non-interest loans to 359 successful young businesses in the state,” the statement quoted KWASSIP General Manager Dr Abdulwasiu Olayinka Tejidini as saying.

“This is following the recommendation of the assessment committee. Some other 10 out of the above will pitch for the maximum category of N1,000, 000 — N3,000,000 each at the grand finale.

“This is another intervention by the government to support enterprise and industry, deepen innovation, and get young people sustainably empowered in the state.”

Started in 2021, Kwapreneurs has funded about a thousand Kwara-based business owners in three editions.
