KWASU releases names of newly promoted Professors, Associate Professors

AUTHORITY of the Kwara State University, Malete has released names of five newly promoted staff into rank of Professor while four PhD holders made it to the rank of Associate Professor.

The promotions were approved at the 59th Regular Meeting of the Governing Council of the University held on Thursday May 12, 2022, according to a statement issued on Thursday by the University’s Registrar, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee.

ROYAL NEWS also gathered that the ratification followed the recommendations of the Appointments and Promotions Committee (A&PC) which considered the reports of external assessors on each member of staff concerned.

Five were promoted to Full Professors while four (4) were promoted to Associate Professors.
The new Professors are:
1.Olusola Oladele James, (Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry)

2.Oluwasogo Olalubi, (Department of Public Health)

3.Oluwabukola Christiana Dada, (Department of Special Education)

4. Mufutau Adeyemi Ajao, (Department of Zoology)

5. AbdulRazaq M. Katibi, (Department of Arabic and Linguistics).

The Associate Professors are:

1.Gafar Olayiwola Olorisade, (Educational Management)

2.Shehu AbdulGaniyu Salau, (Agricultural Economics & Extension Services)

3.Moshood Zakariyah, (English and Linguistics)

4. Isiaka Aliagan, (Mass Communication)
