NEWS UPDATE: Late former Gov Lawal’s daughter, Arinola wins KWHA ticket

Hajia Arinola Lawal, daughter of late former Governor Mohammed Lawal, has won the ticket of the All Progressives Congress,
(APC) for the Ilorin East Constituency of the Kwara State House of Assembly.

ROYAL NEWS reports that the APC chieftain won 47 votes to defeat her rival, Ali Jimoh and Amule who scored 13 and nil votes respectively.

It would be recalled that Hajia Arinola’s younger brother, Hakeem Lawal, on Wednesday won the Social Democratic Party, (SDP) ticket to contest the 2023 governorship race.

She had previously served in Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s cabinet has Commissioner for Enterprise before now.
