Labour Party Appoints Ochonu Williams as Benue State Chairman

Date:

The Labour Party has appointed Ochonu Williams as its new State Chairman in Benue State, alongside the inauguration of an interim executive committee to oversee party affairs in the state.

Williams previously served as Chief of Staff to Philip Agbese, the Deputy Spokesperson of the House of Representatives representing the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency. In that role, he was involved in legislative coordination, constituency engagement and administrative support within the lawmaker’s office.

The appointment, according to party sources, forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the party’s structure and leadership presence at the state level.

The decision was taken under the leadership of the party’s National Chairman, Nenadi Usman.

Party officials expressed optimism that the new interim leadership would help reposition the party and enhance its grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of future political activities in the state.
