Late IEDPU Nat’l President, Abdullahi Atanda was a pace-setter— Emir of Ilorin

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has described the death of the former National President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressives Union, (IEDPU) Alhaji Abdullahi Atanda, as a colosal loss to humanity.

In a condolence message signed by his Media Aide, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir confirmed the Alhaji Atanda as a genuine and committed leader whose tenure as IEDPU National President witnessed tremendous growth and development among Ilorin indigenes globally.

“He was a true Ilorite, nationalist and pace setter. He ensured that left the position better than he met it with the introduction of several innovations which further promoted love, peace and unity among members. His leadership styles are highly commendable and will stand test of time.

“May Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and admit him into Al-janatul firdaos”, the Emir added.

He therefore prayed that Allah should give the family of late Alhaji Abdullahi Atanda and the enire IEDPU the fortitude to bear the great loss.
