No amount of blackmail ‘ll distract me from fighting for Delta ‐Senator Nwoko

Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Ned Nwoko, has said that no amount of blackmail and disgrace would stop his fight for the distr district in particular, Delta State and the nation in general.

Senator Nwoko was reacting to reports making the rounds that Nollywood actress, Chika Ike was pregnant for him and that he plans to marry her as his seventh wife.

The lawmaker, in a statement by his Director of Communication, Hon. Gloria Okolugbo denied the media reports, saying his desire to work relentlessly for the development of his constituency, Delta State and Nigeria could not be distracted by those he described as enemies of progress by inciting and damaging his hard earned reputation.

“Our attention has been drawn to the recent false rumors alleging that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress, Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant for him. We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation,” the statement added.

The lawmaker also refuted reports claiming that he made statements about Tuface and polygamy, which he described as completely untrue.

He said: “As a public figure and with his wife also being an actress, it is not unusual for bloggers seeking attention to fabricate such stories.”

The statement added that Senator Nwoko, who is currently on a national assignment, is focused on delivering on his political mandate and has no time for distractions.

It, therefore, called on members of the public to disregard those rumours and rely only on official statements from the office of the Senator at every time.

“This office remains available to journalists for verification of information, and we remind media practitioners of the consequences of spreading fake news,” the statement concluded.
