Olukoyi dies after 35yrs on throne, burial holds April 21

Another prominent traditional ruler in Osun State, South West, Nigeria has joined his ascenstors.

 

He is the Olukoyi of Ikoyi land, in Isokan South LCDA, Oba Yisau Bamitale Oyetunji Otunla, (Kodaolu I), ROYAL NEWS has gathered.

 

The Traditional ruler died after brief illness.

It was also gathered that his body will be committed to the mother earth on Thursday 21st of April, 2022 at Olukoyi Palace, Ikoyi-Osun.

The late monarch ruled for thirty five (35) years. He ascended the throne in 1987.

The official announcement was made by Hon (Prince) Wasiu Oyetunji Oyelami, the Isokan South LCDA Chairman.

His post reads
“INNALILLAHI WA INNA ILLEHI ROJUINA. The Glorious Exit of a Patriarch.  HRM Oba Yisau Oyetunji Bamitale Otunla, Kodaolu I,
The Olukoyi of Ikoyi Osun Kingdom.

“May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace and Grant him Aljannah fridaous”. He concluded.
