Police Affairs Ministry sympathizes with late Jika family

Management of the Ministry of Police Affairs has condoled with Hajia Sakinatu Jika, mother of late Cadet, Mr. Sulaiman Jika and other family members on the death of their beloved son at the mother’s residence in Maitama, Abuja.

Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, represented by the Minister of State, Hajia Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, according to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Deputy Director (Press) in the ministry, Bolaji Oladimeji, prayed Allah to have mercy on the deceased’s soul.

She specifically prayed that Almighty Allah protect him from the torment of the grave, make him procures a forerunner and a treasure for his parents as well as make them weigh heavily in the scales of good deeds and magnify their rewards.

“We express our sympathies to you and your family on the passing on of your beloved son, Mr. Sulaiman Jika, a brilliant and promising young man, who has returned to his creator. Allah loves him most,” Hajia Sulaiman-Ibrahim said.

She urged the mother not to allow the incident to disturb and derail her from the course which the deceased had set for the family, saying the entire Nigerians believed in the sacrifice of the family to the nation.

Responding, the family matriarch thanked the management and staff of the ministry for sharing in the moment of grief and sorrow with the family which said was a clear testimony that the leadership of the police ecosystem had shown concern about the incident.

The Honourable Minister of State for Police Affairs was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo, and the entire management team of the ministry.

The late Jika, according to the statement, was a dedicated cadet from the Department of Computer Science and a proud native of Adamawa State.

He succumbed to a brief and unexpected illness at an undisclosed age.
