Sen. Rafiu Ibrahim’s death, monumental loss to humanity— Emir of Ilorin
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has expressed sadness over the demise of Senator Rafiu Ibrahim describing it as a monumental loss to humanity.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari noted that the deceased’s love for the people of Ilorin Emirate was unquantifiable with the ranges of philanthropic interventions which he did during his lifetimes.
The monarch stated this in a condolence message issued by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, on Wednesday saying, “He was a cool, calm and easy-going person who did his best to put smiles of the faces of the less privileged in the society.”
He stressed that, “The death of Senator Rafiu Ibrahim is shocking and saddening, his desire to be finally laid to rest in Ilorin after death is a consolation and testimony that his wish has been fulfilled and we pray that Almighty Allah comfort him his grave.”
Speaking further, Alhaji Sulu-Gambari expressed the condolences of the entire members of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council to the Olojoku of Ojoku in Oyun Local Government Area, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulganiy Adegboyega Afolabi, the entire people of Ojoku land as well as indigenes of Oyun Local Government Area home and abroad over the colossal loss.
He prayed Almighty Allah to comfort his widow, children, immediate and extended family members even as he besieged Allah to accept his good deeds, forgive his shortcomings and admit him into Al-janatul firdaos.
