Supreme Court affirms Nasir Idris’ election as Kebbi Governor

Date:

The Supreme Court has affirmed the election of Nasir Idris of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the governor of Kebbi State.

A five-member panel of the apex court, in a unanimous judgment on Friday, dismissed the appeal by Bande Aminu, who was the candidate of the PDP in the last governorship election in the state.

Justice Uwani Abba-Aji, who read the lead judgment, held that the appeal was without merit.
