The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a 10-day scheduled maintenance exercise at its Gombe 132/33 kV transmission substation, the company confirmed in a statement by spokesperson Ndidi Mbah on Tuesday.
The exercise is set to run from October 14 to 24, 2025, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. TCN said the maintenance will involve work on the Shongo 33kV Feeder 8 and the replacement of protection and control panels with new equipment.
The company assured that the exercise would not disrupt bulk electricity supply to the Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC). Load from the Shongo 33kV feeder will be transferred to the Darazo 33kV feeder, while the Mallam Sidi feeder’s load will move to the Doma 33kV feeder 6, ensuring uninterrupted power delivery throughout the maintenance period.
