U-20 World Cup Drama: Mexico Silence Chile, Spain Advance

Two nations have booked their spots in the quarter-final stage of the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.

Host nation Chile was eliminated after suffering a 4-1 defeat to Mexico in their Round of 16 clash played in the early hours of Wednesday.

Earlier, Spain sealed their place in the last eight with a narrow 1-0 victory over Ukraine.

More Round of 16 fixtures are scheduled for later today, with Nigeria set to take on Argentina, while South Africa will battle Colombia for a place in the quarter-finals.

The FIFA U-20 World Cup kicked off last month and is expected to conclude later this month.
