An Executive Director with AgroBiz.org and Global Goal Ambassador of the United Nations Association – USA, Lady Tee Thompson, has lauded the management of KAM Holding Ltd. for implementing the Sustainable Development Goalds, (SDGs) mandates of supporting women and eradicating poverty in the society.

She commended the Group Managing Director/CEO of the company, Dr. Kamoru Yusuf, for the uncommon vision and economic drive which he injected into the business as a wholly owned indigenous manufacturer of Iron and Steel products in the country.

She added that through massive women and youths employments, KAM Holding Ltd. has changed the narratives of relegating girls child to only housewives, thereby, making them critical contributors to the growth of the Nigerian economy.

Thompson stated this when she visited KAM Holding factory along Asa Road, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital stressing that, “It is a privilege to be here today and with what I have seen so far, I am glad and delighted to say that KAM Holding Ltd is doing wonderfully well and supporting the society through women empowerment among others.”

According to her, “I am to see the five year vision for this offshoot NGO working alongside KAM Holding Ltd. Part of our mandate is to Inspire – Advancing Women’s Leadership, Mobilize – Promoting Social and Economic Self-Sufficiency, Educate – Strengthening Access to Gender Equality & Equity.

These are all what KAM Holding Ltd., through its Non-Governmental Organization, the Threshold of Hope Foundation, had been engaged in over the years and we are happy to be associated with them. Women in Ilorin are enabled to succeed by these factors and opportunities provided by the company.”

She added that, “I am inspired by the Promoter of the NGO, Dr. Iyadunni Yusuf and together they will establish a constructive collaboration for continued support in the future so that women would be more visible, inspired, recognized and to have more community impact.

“This will further provide mentorship and empowerment as well as create more platforms to benefit from further equitable economic, community and also advance the Sustain Development Goals, (SDGs).

“Globally women and children perish first academically, mentally, nutritiously, physiologically, spiritually and financially without economic growth within their communities”, Thompson added.
