Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has firmly shut down swirling rumours of his defection, declaring he remains loyal to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking on Monday at the flag-off ceremony of the dualisation of the 3.5km Ila township road in Ila-Orangun, Adeleke emphasized his unwavering commitment to the party and the people of Osun.
“I was elected on the platform of the PDP, and so shall I remain in the party. I’m not going anywhere,” he declared.
The governor highlighted that his administration is focused on performance, not politics. He boasted of the successful completion of over 175 kilometers of road infrastructure under his leadership and reaffirmed his dedication to completing critical road projects across the state.
He specifically pointed to the ongoing Osogbo–Ikirun–Inisha–Okuku–Ijabe–Ila Odo road project, stretching 39km to the Kwara boundary, as a testament to his government’s developmental agenda.
“This second phase we’re flagging off is nearly equal in size to what was done over 12 years. By God’s grace, we will deliver it in just 12 months,” he added.
Describing the event as a divine milestone, Adeleke said his vow to serve the people stands unshaken, despite the challenges in the nation.
“Our gathering here is not by chance. It’s a manifestation of God’s plan. I’ve vowed to serve my people, and nothing will distract me from that path.”
