The Deputy Governor of Kwara State His Excellency, Elder Kayode Alabi, on Tuesday 8th July, 2025 paid a courtesy visit to the Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
The visit comes on the heels of the groundbreaking visit by His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON), a few months ago, an unprecedented move that recognized the NSCDC’s critical role in fostering a safe and secure Kwara.
In his remarks, the Deputy Governor, Elder Kayode Alabi acknowledged the professionalism, discipline, and dedication of officers and men of the command, noting that their efforts have had a measurable impact on the overall peace enjoyed across the state.
He encouraged the personnel to remain resolute and to heighten their efforts in identifying and confronting criminal elements seeking to undermine the stability of Kwara State.
In his response, Commandant Umar J.G. Mohammed expressed his sincere gratitude to the Deputy Governor for the visit, describing it as a morale boost for officers and men of the Command.
He also reaffirmed the NSCDC’s unwavering commitment to working in synergy with other security agencies to protect lives, safeguard critical infrastructure, and uphold law and order in the state.
