Emir of Ilorin announces end of annual special prayers ahead of Ramadan fasting
Ahead of the forthcoming glorious month of Ramadan, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has approved the conclusion of the annual special prayers holding at his palace.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari stated this in a statement issued on Monday by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona.
The statement disclosed that the special prayers which will end tomorrow (Tuesday) which is equivalent of 24 Sha’ban 1445AH in the Islamic calendar is to allow for adequate preparation for the month of Ramadan.
The prayer is to be led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr. Muhammad Bashir Imam Soliu OON to be assisted by other Islamic clerics in the Ilorin Emirate.
The Emir thanked the people of Ilorin for their fervent prayers and commitments towards ensuring that peace and tranquility continue to reign in the country.
