The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has rejoiced with the Mudeer Markaz, Sheikh Habeebullah Adam Abdullah El-Ilory OON, on his birthday.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari described the celebrant as a revered Islamic scholar with vast knowledge of Al-Quran and Hadith and mentor to younger and generations yet unborn in the area of Islamic jurisprudence.
This is contained in a goodwill message issued by the Emir’s Press Secretary, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, stressing that, “Sheikh Habeebullah has over years proved his worth as a capable successor through the preservation of the heritage of his father and founder of Arabic and Islamic Training Centre (Markaz) in Agege, Lagos, Sheikh Adam Abdullah El-ilory Al-Afriqy.
“While we eulogise the virtues of late Baba Lagege for the spread of Islamic scholarship across Nigeria and beyond as well as making Ilorin Emirate standout throughout his lifetime as a city of knowledge, we commend the Mudeer-ul-Markaz for sustaining and preserving the legacies of the erudite scholar since his demise over three decades ago.”
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari however urged the celebrant to continue to be good Ambassador of the Ilorin Emirate and humanity in general through his preachings and other engagements in the society.
He prayed Almighty Allah to continue to strengthen and protect Sheikh Habeebullah Adam Abdullah El-Ilory OON in his service to Almighty Allah and humanity.
