Ilorin Emir’s Cup: Okaa Sports defeats Sunshine FC

The Chairman of Okaa Sports FC Adelodun Abdulahi is full of excitement after his side defeated Sunshine FC to reach the semi final of the Emir Of Ilorin Cup.

 

Resilient Okaa Sports FC scored a late second half goal courtesy of Shehu Oyeyode to see off spirited Sunshine FC to secure a 1-0 win in the first quarterfinal match played at the KFA pitch on Thursday afternoon.

It was an exciting game of football between the side who came into the game with a spot in the semifinal on sight.

Shehu Oyeyode met perfectly with a through pass from Hakeem Sa’ad to slot in perfectly past the goalkeeper to put Okaa Sports ahead. Okaa Sports defended well despite the pressure from Sunshine FC to reach the semifinal.

Chairman of Okaa Sports FC reacting to the results expressed his excitement after his side victory adding that they will push forward beyond the semifinal as their focus is on winning the title.

“I am so excited with the victory, though it hasn’t been easy but God has helped us far” He said.

“The Semifinal is not our destination our target is to go beyond the semifinal and also win it and I believe we can achieve it” He added.

He also commended the organisers for a wonderful organisation, he further urged them to keep up with the good work.

The tournament continues on Friday as Adezzy confronts Skillz at KFA by 11:am
