Ilorin Grand Mufti enjoins Muslim faithful to observe fasting with fear of God
The Grand Mufti of Ilorin Emirate, Sheikh (Dr) Sulyman Onikijipa OON has enjoined Muslim Ummah of Ilorin and beyond to endeavour to observe fasting with the fear of God in line with the teachings of Allah and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He stated this while speaking with journalists shortly after council meeting held at the palace of the Emir of Ilorin in preparation for the 2024 ramadan fasting.
The cleric urged the people of Ilorin Emirate to join other Muslim faithful in Nigeria and globally to commence fasting tomorrow (Monday) 11th March 2014.
He commend the chief Imam of Ilorin and other members of the Council of Ulama even as he rejoiced with the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR and the entire members of Ilorin Emirate Council for witnessing yet another glorious month of ramadan.
