PDP Will Emerge Stronger After Reforms, Says Ogidi

Date:

The National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), South-South zone, Emmanuel Ogidi, has expressed confidence that the party will emerge stronger and more united after its ongoing internal reforms.

Speaking during an interview on Arise News, Ogidi said the PDP leadership is committed to resolving internal disputes, rebuilding trust, and restoring discipline ahead of its forthcoming national convention in Ibadan.

He maintained that the PDP remains one of Nigeria’s most organized political parties and is capable of reclaiming power in the 2027 general elections if members work together in unity and loyalty.

“Anyone working against the progress of the party is betraying our shared mission to reposition the PDP for victory,” Ogidi said.

He cautioned members undermining the party’s interest, warning that their actions would define how they are remembered. “Those who have supported the party in the past but are now working against it will be remembered for trying to frustrate our efforts. But those who have changed for the better will be remembered as good,” he added.

Ogidi hinted that disciplinary measures would soon be taken against members found to be sabotaging the party’s reform process. “There are cases already being reviewed, and everything is getting ready soon,” he said.

He urged Nigerians to be patient with the PDP as it works to reposition itself, assuring that the party remains focused on reclaiming power and delivering good governance.
