Peller Expresses Frustration Over Unkind Musicians in Nigeria

Date:

Popular TikToker and streamer Habeeb Adelaja, known as Peller, has criticized Nigerian musicians, claiming that very few of them are kind based on his experiences collaborating and interacting with them. He made the remarks during a recent livestream in Enugu.

Peller noted that many Nigerian artists tend to prioritise foreign influencers and media personalities over local streamers, often only engaging with Nigerian media when their fame begins to fade.

He specifically highlighted that local streamers are frequently overlooked despite their efforts to support musicians, adding that international attention seems to take precedence for most top artists.

According to Peller, a small number of musicians, including Davido, Olamide, and Tiwa Savage, stand out as exceptions due to their kindness and willingness to engage with local talent.

He urged Nigerian entertainers, especially musicians, to give more recognition to local media and influencers, stressing that supporting homegrown platforms is important regardless of global success or international acclaim.
