It was gathered that the suspect robbed one Effiong Mfon of N30,000.00 at gunpoint, and thereafter accosted a female victim on the road, dragged her to a primary school in the Ewang area in the LGA and allegedly raped her.
The statement said another suspected notorious robber, Ndifreke Effiong, popularly known as Ndi’boy, was arrested in connection with crimes around Ikot Ekpene LGA and its environs.
According to the statement, all the suspects have admitted to the crimes and were charged in court.
