Super Eagles Slip to 44th in FIFA Rankings After AFCON Qualifier Setback

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have fallen to 44th in the latest FIFA rankings following their disappointing performance in the final round of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Nigeria managed only a 1-1 draw against Benin in Abidjan before suffering a 1-2 defeat to Rwanda in Uyo, dropping from 36th position in October to 44th globally.

On the African rankings, the Super Eagles now rank 5th, behind Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Algeria.
