Three Dead, Seven Injured in Jigawa Communal Clash

Police in Jigawa State have confirmed that three people were killed and seven others sustained serious injuries during a violent communal clash in Birniwa Local Government Area.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, told NAN that the incident occurred on Wednesday night when a group of suspected criminals attacked Dagaceri Village, setting houses on fire and assaulting residents.

A combined team of security personnel quickly responded to the scene, restoring order and arresting seven suspects in connection with the violence. Authorities also recovered mobile phones and local charms at the scene.

SP Shiisu said investigations are ongoing to determine the root cause of the attack. He urged residents to strengthen community policing and implement early warning systems to prevent further bloodshed.
