Vote for Governor Abdulrazaq, Deputy Governor Tells Sports Community
Kwara State Deputy Governor, Kayode Alabi has appealed to the sports fraternity to vote emass for Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq at Saturday polls.
Alabi made the appeal when he received the Kwara State Sports Commission led by Mallam Bolakale Mogaji during a rally in Ilorin, Kwara on Tuesday.
Alabi said sports have enjoyed massive support in terms of facilities and funds during the first term of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
He said the current Governor has used sports to take thousands of youths off the streets in the state.
The Deputy Governor said, “I am urging the sports community, especially the athletes who are eligible to vote, to come out and cast their vote for Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on Saturday.
“You all can testify that sports in Kwara State has enjoyed massive funds and infrastructural development since the Governor came on board.
“For this gesture to continue, we have to keep the Governor in office so that he can compliment on his gains”.
Earlier, the Executive Chairman of Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Mogaji commended Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Governor of Kwara State for supporting sports in the state.
Mogaji said, “Today, I can tell you that Kwara State is amongst the best producing athletes in the country and this is because of the love the Governor has for sports.
“There are massive renovation of sports facilities in the state because the Governor believes in infrastructural development as well as employments of athletes”.
